Abstract
In the modern workplace, the conversation around success is no longer just about profit margins, market share, or innovation, it's about people. At the heart of any thriving organization are the individuals who make its vision a reality. Yet, the mental health and well-being of these individuals have long been overlooked in organizational strategies. The ongoing global crises, digital transformation, and fast-paced corporate environments have pushed mental health into the spotlight, demanding a paradigm shift in how organizations think about and support their employees. This edited volume, Prioritizing Employee Mental Health and Well-Being for Organizational Success brings together an interdisciplinary group of scholars and practitioners from around the globe to explore the critical intersection between employee wellness and organizational performance. Collectively, the chapters offer not only empirical insights and theoretical frameworks but also practical strategies and forward-looking innovations to cultivate mentally healthy, inclusive, and sustainable workplaces. Each chapter reflects the growing recognition that mental health is not a personal issue to be dealt with outside the office but a collective responsibility, integral to workplace culture, leadership, policy, and even technology. Our goal with this volume is to offer organizations, HR professionals, leaders, and researchers a comprehensive and actionable roadmap to embed well-being at the core of business success.
